Murals and more! (Project Posting)

Hello!

If you’re reading this, it’s because you’ve expressed interest in volunteering with us at ARTS. We have an open call for volunteers to help paint a mural at University Place Elementary School. The times for this are extremely flexible.

Lesley Wolfe will be leading this workshop. You can contact her at tlj1012@yahoo.com with any questions.

You need little to no experience in order to help with this. As long as you can hold a paintbrush, we will be painting a basic city skyline (squares and boxes). Please fill out the following form if you’d like to volunteer!

Campus Field Trip (5th Grade)

Earlier in November, a group of elementary school students came to visit the University of Alabama campus. During their visit, they saw the Ferguson Center, took a formal campus tour, took a tour of Bryant-Denny Stadium and a tour of the WVUA-23 studio.

During their visit, the students were welcomed by Dr. Marysia Galbraith and escorted by students in her New College Cooperation and Conflict course this semester. The college students planned the field trip and participate in other ARTS workshops throughout the semester.

Take a look at these great pictures and let us know if you’re interested in getting involved with the ARTS program.
